Umanutá Koza — web presentation for a mountain café in the Krušné hory

Umanutá Koza is an unconventional specialty café and pancake house run out of a converted horse trailer at the end of a winding road in Kryštofovy Hamry.

We designed a single-page presentation with a narrative structure split into numbered sections (01–04) that leads the visitor from the atmospheric intro, through the menu and the owners' story, all the way to tips for the surrounding area and contact.
Kde byl problém
Umanutá Koza is an unconventional specialty café and pancake house run out of a converted horse trailer at the end of a winding road in Kryštofovy Hamry. The client needed a presentation that would bring the unique story of the place to life — the craft care, the love of the mountains, and a refusal to compromise — and at the same time serve as a practical guide for tourists and coffee lovers.
The main challenge was to combine emotional storytelling with very down-to-earth information (opening hours, directions, menu) so that visitors travelling through the Krušné hory could verify within seconds when it's open, how to get there, and what awaits them at the venue.
Naše řešení
We designed a single-page presentation with a narrative structure split into numbered sections (01–04) that leads the visitor from the atmospheric intro, through the menu and the owners' story, all the way to tips for the surrounding area and contact. The visual language rests on a warm, earthy palette, generous typography, and authentic photography of the mountain landscape as well as handmade pancakes and latte art.
In the hero section, we prominently placed a current-status indicator "Open today" that switches automatically depending on the day of the week, so tourists don't have to look anything up. We added quick links to Google Maps and Mapy.cz, two phone numbers, and a full opening hours schedule.
The "Surroundings" section works as a mini-guide to the nearest tourist destinations with distances, so the website also helps with trip planning. The whole solution is built statically, fully responsive, and optimized for fast loading even in areas with a weak mobile signal.
